Interest Grows in Bioregional Learning Center

Interest is growing in the development of a Bioregional Design School / Learning Center for the Genesee Finger Lakes region. Potentially located on a 73-acre campus in Honeoye Falls that was previously a summer camp, the School would be associated with a nature-based fitness, recreation, and educational program for young people that is currently in development. The School would offer hands-on learning in ecological restoration and regeneration for people of all ages, along with a range of other programs and activities.

Our group had a successful re-launch of the Genesee Finger Lakes Bioregional Learning series on August 8, featuring  Kevin Farrell of the Genesee Land Trust explaining conservation easements and land trusts as tools for preserving properties from over-development. The next meeting on the Bioregional Learning Center is on August 22 at 6:30 pm.

See for details.
