Using Clean Energy Financing to Regenerate Communities — Upgrading Buildings, Revitalizing Neighborhoods, and Strengthening Bonds
We listen for what’s possible.
Our goal is to bring ideas, tools, and capital to address the needs that communities and groups tell us they have. So the first thing we do is listen.
We listen for what’s possible. We are at a unique moment of inflection, when things are already shifting, and in some cases shifting rapidly,
We look at the city and its buildings through the lens of regenerative design.
Regenerative design is a whole systems approach to design, focussing on processes that restore, renew or revitalize their own sources of energy and materials. Regenerative design uses whole systems thinking to create resilient and equitable systems that integrate the needs of society with the integrity of nature. A regenerative city is one built on an environmentally enhancing, restorative relationship with the natural systems from which the city draws resources for its sustenance. A regenerative city maintains a symbiotic, mutually beneficial relationship with its surrounding region not only by minimizing its environmental impact but by actively improving and regenerating the productive capacity of the ecosystems from which it depends.
