7-Generation Bioregional Earth Summit, Feb 5-10, 2024
Details & Free Registration
The 7-Generation Bioregional Earth Summit, organized by the Legacy Project in collaboration with the Design School for Regenerating Earth and the Indigenous Environmental Institute at Trent University, focuses on regenerating the future.
The summit acknowledges ecological and cultural overshoot, emphasizing whole systems transformation across generations and bioregions. Unlike traditional conferences, it prioritizes intergenerational and place-based dynamics, connecting seven broad themes: environment/climate, economy, community, health, education, life course, and Indigenous worldviews. The Greater Tkaronto Bioregion serves as a starting point, expanding globally by connecting with bioregions worldwide.
The Summit aims to #ChangeTheStory of how we live on a changing planet through a week-long, carefully curated, and interactive experience. It is structured as a working summit, with both virtual and in-person components, featuring speakers, discussions, and experiences designed to explore regenerative pathways and envision the birth of the new Bioregional Earth network.
The program includes sessions on regenerative economies, Indigenous ways of knowing, and the interconnectedness of people and place. Participants are invited to engage actively and contribute to the unfolding story throughout the week.
The Summit is free to attend and open to all with mainly online virtual sessions.
